1-day Route Recce with the Course Designers




Why do one?

iTriCoaching is the local organising group behind IRONMAN Ireland here in Youghal since its inception right through to seeing the last athlete across the finish line in 2021. We'll be here for the 3 years of the event, across everything from venues to fringe events, accommodation to race routes and as the routes change between now and race day you'll be the first to know as a client of ours.

With the event on sale for a few months now, the overwhelming feedback from facebook groups (such as The Ironman Ireland Journey) is that being familiar with the route is vital to getting the best time possible on race day. It makes sense to come and see it and even more sense to have a coach show it to you...
That's where we come in!

Walk the area, view layout and see all your ins & outs

Swim Route

Buoys and safetyboat in place you'll do 1 of the two loops - 1.9K
We'll point out sighting landmarks and discuss bad weather plans and tactics.

We plan our days to have tidal conditions the same as they'll be on race day

*Winter days - we'll walk the venue and do some pool laps instead
A tour of the Bike Route - 1 x 90K  lap

We'll have a support car to carry nutrition as you take-in the scenery on the IRONMAN Ireland Cycle Route

No time for sightseeing on race day but today you'll be led by one of the course designers on th elateste and most up-to-date version of the route for June.

We'll look at what setup is best for you and discuss a race and nutrition plan...

The Run Route


A lap of the Run Route - 1 x 12K

Fresh off the bike, this will be the perfect BRICK session, we'll even have a rack for you to transition effectively.


With one lap completed we'll look at the
finish line and recovery area before hitting the one small hill on the entire route and a cooldown chat to sum tyhe day up before you head for home.
